A high quality, ball bearing, fan cooled Johnson motor pre-wired and fitted with recommended capacitors so it just plugs into an MTroniks or similar speed controller, no soldering is required.
This motor is for use with either a 2 cell LiPo battery or a 6 cell NiMh battery, higher voltage batteries should not be used as they may cause damage.
Complete with mounting screws/washes and a high quality HUCO style universal coupling.
Comprehensive Kit Including Fittings
Easy construction model boat kit includes:
Over 100 precision CNC cut plywood parts, all strip-wood.
Realistic routed deck planking.
Pre-drilled mountings for various motor options.
CNC routed windows and window frames.
Mahogany grab rails.
A fitted stand with rope handles and protective felt strips.
A wooden ship's wheel, quality nickel plated cleats and davits and a white metal ships horn.
A brass rudder and tiller assembly and ready-made servo linkage.
White metal navigation light set with LEDs, resistors, wire and sleeving.
A stainless steel and brass prop-shaft with glass cloth to secure it.
A water scoop, outlet and silicone pipe for a realistic jet of water when under way, can also be used to cool the ESC or motor if required (longer pipe will be needed).
Note: prop, radio gear and battery are NOT included in the kit.
Further parts will need to be purchased to complete the boat as shown.
All sheet parts are supplied precisely CNC cut, no need to trace plans or fret out printed parts.
Unique rapid self-jigging construction that requires no clamping or jigs
This is the structure fitted together with no glue whatsoever!
You don't need a building jig, just a simple flat surface.
Nor do you need lots of clamps as with most kits.

There's no need to interpret cryptic plans or follow incoherent instructions leaflets, it's all there in the videos to watch.
The Fast Patrol Launch has an almost identical hull to the Merlin and Kestral so videos 1-4 cover both, only video 5 differs.
Please watch all 5 videos before starting construction, video 5 shows the slight differences in the hull construction so please watch that before starting.
